Courtney Hale

Administrative Coordinator

Courtney was raised in rural Tennessee/Virginia before moving to central Wisconsin when she was 12. From ages 12-18 she spent summers with her father at his off-grid cabin in Alaska. She then attended UW-Madison to study Geography & Environmental Studies.

By sophomore year, Courtney was determined to find her place in an environmental career. Courtney has held part-time positions as a park ranger for the UW-Arboretum, dairy & forage field assistant for the USDA, and a Front Desk agent for the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. While working in Alaska, she found passion within hospitality/tourism, which ultimately led her to her current full-time role as Administrative Assistant for a local camping resort.

While not the Appalachain Range, nor Denali, the scenic bluffs, rivers, valleys, and prairies of the Driftless Region are beautiful the same, and have come to what Courtney knows as home. She is grateful to be a part of the Central Conservation team and hopes to contribute and further develop her skills to support the efforts of the organization.
